The two matches will see the return of some old faces
including the legendary Zinedine Zidane who will make his debut in the new
season. While PSG is going through their changes ahead of the start of the
campaign, they also have the likes of Ronaldinho, Messi, Marquinhos, Nunez,
Raphinha, Leandro Paredes, Mbappe, Mendy, Mauro Icardi, Neymar Jr., among
others, taking part in the showpiece match. All that has happened over the past
five years has been quite a rollercoaster ride. The most recent incident was
when PSG president Aurelio De Laurentiis had to resign after he received death
threats from the online community. He was seen by security, but there were no
arrests. There are numerous other incidents, which have haunted him.

PSG's manager Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, is busy preparing
himself for what lies ahead. "I have said it before in various clubs. At
the beginning of every season I talk about things I hear: 'there's something
wrong, we need to change, we need to improve'. One thing I know for sure is we
are up for it," he told reporters earlier this month.
While PSG will look to keep improving its performances
against big names, particularly those linked to Real Madrid in transfer, former
Chelsea striker Wayne Rooney and ex-Dynamo Luiz Felipe Scolari are coming into
their team. They have already signed Darwin Núñez from Granados, Gabriel
Martinelli from Fiorentina, Luis Diaz from Juventus, Dario Álvarez from Inter Milan
and Alex Popp from Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is also looking forward to
getting one over on Pep Guardiola in his first outing as an active Premier
League manager.
"Of course I've got my little bit of respect [for
Guardiola], he's done a great job in several clubs, especially Pep, who won six
trophies at Manchester City. We all had our little bit of respect for him, and
I feel like being here, the more time he spends with us. Let's hope we can do
it," the Frenchman said.
PSG will not have to deal much trouble against Bayern
Munich while Al Nasar will need some extra efforts just because everyone knows
how dangerous they are.
The French champions are aware of the fact they need to
show that they belong in top four in order to stay relevant this winter.
Tuchel, meanwhile, wants them to take their chances
against very good opposition in Europe.
"I think there will be pressure because we are
playing Arsenal in the Champions League against Real Madrid, even if they
haven't beaten us yet. You'll find out in these games that we need to get
results. But we want to do well with confidence and not get too nervous or too
comfortable, knowing that our goal against Arsenal will be more than
enough," he added.
AL-NAAR'S CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Since winning the inaugural title back in 1987, al-Nasr's
table has been dominated by the club to date. However, a run of eight
consecutive victories in 2020/2021, has helped the side to retain its position
toppers again.
Al Nasar made history by becoming only the third club to
reach the final of the 2021/2022 tournament.
